IMPORTANT: Expand for full competition information.

Note: This competition will proceed much differently than standard competitions. As such, both submission and judgment guidelines are much different as well, so please read all guidelines before entering.

The competition's themes will vary for each round:

As always, make sure your submissions are Dragon Ball-themed - that is, use characters from the Dragon Ball franchise.

Submissions made outside of the designated preparation period will be RENDERED NULL and the entrant will be forfeited automatically.

Bracket Guidelines:
Please expand to see the bracket guidelines for this competition.

Only eight users may compete, and none of them may judge.

Bracket competitions occur in rounds, starting with the quarterfinals (four groups), semifinals (two groups), and ending with the last two competitors' submissions clashing head-to-head in the final round. Due to the nature of bracket competitions, all participants must be prepared to make multiple cards (up to 3) depending on whether or not they advance, as a user may only submit a single card per round. It is strongly advised that you get your group of card entries ready before voting begins, as each round will proceed on the IMMEDIATE NEXT DAY after the judgment day for the previous round has passed.

This is a single elimination bracket competition, meaning if you lose once, you're out of the competition. However, depending on your final placement, you may still earn points:

  • Between the two users who lose in the semifinals, the one who gained more votes during those rounds will gain 1 point and finish in 3rd place (ex. 1 losing vote over 0 losing votes). If they gained the same amount of losing votes during that round, then both losing semifinalists gain 1 point and finish in 3rd together.
  • The user who loses in the finals will gain 2 points and finish in 2nd place.
  • And of course, the 1st place winner will gain 3 points for doing so.

Submission Guidelines:

  • For this specific competition, to avoid future error, PARTICIPANTS MAY NOT JUDGE. You are either a participant or judge in this competition, not both.
  • You may only submit one entry per user for each round. You may not reuse a previous entry from a previous round or competition.
  • Submitted art must be created/compiled by the user who submits it, not from another user.
    • In addition, always link the original creator in the "Additional Information" section of the card template if you did not make the render yourself.
  • The majority of points will go towards the artwork of the submission.
  • Dokkan Syntax is very important - organize your data in a manner similar to real Dokkan Battle cards.
  • Clean spelling and grammar will give you higher chances of earning points.
  • Providing reasoning for certain parts of the card that others may not understand at first, such as why a percentage is the way it is (ex. ATK +59% referencing 5 + 9, "Go" + "Ku" = "Goku"), can give you a higher chance of earning points.

In order to submit a competition entry, press the "E" key on your card page to enter the editor, then choose the "Source" editor at the top right. From there, copy the entire page (Ctrl + A, then Ctrl + C). You may paste your new entry (Ctrl + V) in the proper tab section in the tabber.

  • When adding an entry, don't forget to add "|HideNavigation = true" to your card template, so as to hide the Type and Rarity navigation page.
  • Make sure to leave your name in the "Additional Information" section so we know who to give points when judging day comes around.
  • Changes to submissions CANNOT be made after judging has begun. Any late changes will be reverted.

Judges Guidelines:

  • For this specific competition, to avoid future error, JUDGES MAY NOT PARTICIPATE.. You are either a participant or judge in this competition, not both.
  • Judge in a fair manner. Remember, you will judge primarily based on each submission's artwork, but card mechanics, forms and additional information still play a part in choosing winners.
  • Be kind and respectful in your judgment, even if you despise the submission deep down.
  • Try to be on schedule when judgment day arrives. Being lazy with judgment may compromise the possibility of your position as a judge in future competitions.
  • Judges are not allowed to give badges to their own submissions. No tossing yourself first place.
